Abstract:

Radially loaded annular springs are the subject of this work. The radial stiffness of the spring, maximum stress in the spring and temperature rise due to hysteresis during oscillation were calculated. Three experiments were made and compared with the derived formulas. The agreement between calculations and tests is satisfactory.
